The person behind
the trail name.
Edison Hikes is built by Kyle Stilley — AT thru-hiker, backpacking guide, and the kind of person who goes back to repeat the hardest sections just to understand them better.
The Trail
After a full thru-hike, a repeat of the first 600 miles, and another pass through New Hampshire and Maine, I started writing the resource I wish I'd had — and coaching the people who are where I was before mile one. Real trail knowledge, honest gear takes, and opinions that aren't shaped by who's paying for them.
Coaching
I work with people who are serious about getting into the backcountry — thru-hiker prep, trip planning, and on-trail support. If you want to work together, start here.
Why "Edison"
Edison is my trail name. On a thru-hike, your trail name is the identity you earn out there — it's what people actually call you. It felt right to build under that name.
What This Isn't
This isn't an outdoor lifestyle brand. I'm not here to sell you on the aesthetic of hiking or build a personality cult around summit photos. This is a site for people who want to do this seriously and want information from someone who does too.
